The premier institutions such as Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), International Corps research institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) and pioneer companies like Bharat Biotech, Shanta Biotech have no doubt, placed Hyderabad on the biotech map.

Looking forward, the Genome Valley, ICICI Knowledge Park, Shapoorji Pallonji Biotech Park and many other biotech led ventures that are being setup in and around the hi-tech city are sure to add to the reputation of Hyderabad as a hub for advanced biotechnology research.
